KBEC-00261 - Changing the Flow database password

Summary

This article explains how to change the password for a Flow database. 

Solution

1. Shut down the Flow server.
2. Change the password in your respective database.
3. Update the password in the <data-dir>/conf/database.properties file in plain text.
4. Restart the Flow service.
   The Flow server will use the password as-is in plain text to initially log into the database.
   After the service is running, the password in the database.properties file will be overwritten to its encrypted password.
